Summit Road Carriers and Red Cross Partner to Deploy Real-Time Cargo Tracking Across Active Disaster Relief Corridors

Summit Road Carriers has entered a joint initiative with the Red Cross to bring end-to-end shipment tracking to active disaster relief corridors — giving coordinators live positions for every truck carrying food, water, and medical supplies.

Under the partnership, corridor shipments carry Summit Road trackers from the donor dock, and Red Cross field teams receive live arrival windows instead of radio check-ins. Early pilots cut average dock-to-distribution time significantly.

“Knowing exactly when supplies arrive changes what a field team can promise a community.” — Lena Marsh, Partnerships Lead

The program launches on three corridors this season, with additional lanes planned as donor funding confirms. Carriers interested in hauling relief lanes can apply through the partnerships page.
